Description
The HY15-12 SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) is the modern approach of supplying DC power to our Audio Tone Control board (like the product: Baxandall DIY Audio Tone Control with Bass, Mid, Treble Pure Analog Tone Control (PATC) making it space effective, economical, lightweight and efficient use of power.
The HY15-12 SMPS Module will replace the old traditional Transformer + Rectifier + Capacitance + Passive Regulators to generate a DC signal of +/-15Vdc from the household 220Vac power. The old solution is bulky, costly and heavy because of the transformer which is metal parts.
Applications:
- Audio Tone Control requiring split power supply of +/-12Vd ~ +/-22Vdc
- Any other electronic board that requires split power supply

DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Build of Tone Control Music Gadgets :
- This is a SMPS Power Supply which replaces the Transformer, rectifier and smoothing capacitors + Regulator circuits in a traditional Power Amplifier Power Supply system
- The maximum voltage of the Tone Control should be known, maximum is +/-15Vdc
- This Auxiliary supply is fixed +12Vdc, you may allowed to use 750mAmp of dc current to supply other circuits like Relay, MCU, LEDs and etc. If you need to use it for small fan, make it sure that it do not draw more than 750mAmp. The maximum current is 1.0 Ampere but put a safety margin to use only 750mamp or 0.75Amp.
CAUTION:
This SMPS Module carry lethal 220~240Vac AC voltage – Electrical safety should be observed. If this is your first time to work with 220 ~240Vac with SMPS, you may consult a professional electronics person and guide you to use this product. Never touch any part of the SMPS module when it is connected to the 220Vac power.
